Critical Mass: Here Dead Lie: Eddie's Version

Credit to Stelek here for the original list. Also, alot of praise for Stelek from me for alot of what I've learnt since I started reading YTTH over a year ago. The information on YTTH has helped way more than anything else I've read.

Anyhoo, onto the list.

Firepower comparisons.

This one has.

12 meltaguns (6 BS 4, 6 BS 3)
11 autocannons
12 twin linked autocannons
21 HKMs
9 multilasers
11 heavy bolters
4 flamers
4 heavy flamers
grenade launcher

Stelek's.

11 Meltaguns. (8 BS 4, 3 BS 3)
6 autocannons.
12 twin-linked autocannons.
21 HK missiles.
9 Multilasers.
15 Heavy Bolters.
5 flamers

The most noticeable gain with my version is the 5 autocannons. Heavy bolter/heavy flamers on chimera bodies can be configured identically if they have to.

This version lacks one meltagun unit in comparison but it still has 4 sacrificial melta units if it needs them (still plenty IMO) and it's five "objective taking units" each have a heavy weapon. Both lists have an identical number of scoring units.

Totally. Stelek's original list is just jaw dropping for first turn firepower.. this has 5 autocannons extra :D

Both lists really scare me. I can just see so many support units in my SM army dying first turn if I were to ever play against it.

If I was to play a force like this, then without a doubt i'd be playing alpha strike denial.

Any other method just leaves your force open to too much fire power for too long (read: one turn it too long in the face of those guns).
